Learn MoreShort-term Summer Programs
A summer program is great if you cannot participate in a full semester abroad or are not quite ready to commit to one.
Many of our bilateral exchange partner institutions offer two, three, four, and six week summer programs during the months of May, June, July and August. These short-term opportunities may include housing, some meals, and cultural activities, making them a convenient and immersive way to study abroad.

Co-op Abroad
All TRU students within the co-op program have the opportunity to learn more about International co-op abroad placements. Students considering working overseas should allow up to eight months prior to departure for planning. Students wishing to participate in a co-op abroad should be aware there are limited locations at this time to travel to and select from.
The first step is to speak with a co-op advisor or explore the co-op web pages for more information.

Students can attend international conferences, complete an internship at another university and take a course under the guidance of a faculty member. Students have completed these opportunities across the globe in Antarctica, Sri Lanka and Peru to name a few.

Student Guide for Study Abroad
TRU's Student Guide for Study Abroad was created primarily for TRU students to use for planning one or two semesters of study in another country through student exchange opportunities available with the Study Abroad Centre.
The focus of this guidebook is the planning and research stage, and it is designed to lead students through the process of submitting their application.
